University Of Huddersfield

Step 1: The University of Huddersfield is located in the town of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.

Step 2: It is a public university that was established in 1825 as the 'Huddersfield Scientific and Mechanical Institution'.

Step 3: It became the 'Huddersfield and Halifax college' in 1852 and in 1902 was granted university status by Royal Charter.

Step 4: It has two campus locations, Queensgate and 3M Buckley Innovation Centre in Firth Street, and its Sports Park is located on Edgerton Road.

Step 5: The university has an impressive library system, containing over 900,000 books, 2.5 million periodicals, videos and CDs, e-books and e-journals, and electronic resources.

Step 6: It offers more than 350 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of art, design, business, media, law, engineering, computing and healthcare.

Step 7: The university has over 20 research institutes, including the Institute of Local Governance and the Centre for Research on Globalisation and Regionalisation.  

Step 8: It is recognised as among the top 200 universities in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
