Laurentian University

1. Laurentian University is located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

2. The University was founded in 1960 and is one of the only bilingual universities in Canada.

3. It offers over 90 undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of disciplines including Business, Science, Engineering, Art History and Humanities.

4. The University also offers a wide range of services for students including Health Services, Counselling Services, Academic Advising and Accessibility Services.

5. The campus is spread across two sites, the main campus and the downtown campus.

6. The main campus is located in the south-west of Sudbury and has a number of buildings including the main library, the science building and the athletics complex.

7. The downtown campus is located in the heart of the city and is home to the business and finance programs.

8. The university also has a number of satellite campuses located in Timmins, North Bay, and Barrie.  

9. The university is home to a number of research centres and institutes including the Centre for Research in Mathematics and its Applications, the Centre for Health and Social Policy, and the Centre for Environmental Studies.
